Banten is one of the latest provinces to be born in the Indonesian reformation era. Before October 17, 2000, Banten was a part of West Java province of Indonesia.Banten province with an area of 8,651.2 kmē is divided into 4 kabupaten (regencies) and 2 kota administratif (administrative towns).
