George Monbiot

George Monbiot is a journalist and left-wing campaigner in the United Kingdom. He writes a weekly column for The Guardian newspaper. His books include Captive State, and The Age of Consent. He is anti-Marxist and pro-Euro.

In 2004 he started working with George Galloway and the Socialist Alliance to form a left-wing alliance to contest the European Parliament elections.
