Nit
A nit is a unit of luminance equal to one candela per square metre. It is often used to quote the brightness of computer displays, which typically have luminances of 200 to 300 nits.
A nit is also the common name for various types of lice eggs. See head lice, pubic lice, Pediculosis.
A nit is also a term of abuse, indicating follishness
