Plot Summarry
X/1999, an early work of the hit all female manga-ka group CLAMP, details the Apocolypse in a very literal adaptation of the book of Revelations. Set in modern day Japan, Kamui (Meaning "the power of God") is faced with the heavy task of fulfilling his dying Mother's last wish, to save the world. However, as simple as we all know this must be for one with the power of God, Kamui is actually not forced to be on the "good side" of the "Dragons of Heaven" (the human race), he is even given the option of joining the so called "bad side" of the "Dragons of Earth" (the world). Either way, Kamui's child hood friend, Fuuma, will take his place and become the "Kamui to counter Kamui" on which ever side he turns down. His romantic interest, Kotori, also gets dragged into the mix.
